You're 2!

Well, you've been 2 for 9 days.  I wasn't as sad about it as I was your first year.  And by sad I don't mean really sad, more just a reminiscing type sad, time goes so quickly.. and even though some days feel like forever, our time together is short in the scheme of things.  So stop getting big so fast, ok?  I want to enjoy you for as long as possible, my love.

23ish Months!

Dear Jameson,

Hello my love!
We just got back from your second vacation ever, we went to Florida!  You saw the beach for the first time, and we stayed with your Grandma and Grandpa (and Bogey).  You did SO well, the flights there and back were long, but you seriously couldn't have done any better than you did.  You're such a trooper.  We even ate at a super fancy restaurant, and you didn't make a peep, and you ate like a champ (you loved the Stone Crab, and mommy's Halibut!).
Wow I have no idea how to capture you in these letters anymore, you're so much more complex than you were even a month ago, much less a year ago.
You'll be 2 in a little over 2 weeks.  I'm not having a hard time with you turning two, I think it was harder for me when you turned 1, and you were technically not an 'infant' anymore.
You sure act two.. you are so strong willed, stubborn, and impulsive.
You're also so darn smart!  Your vocabulary and communication skills are off the charts (really!), you're talking in sentences, and you remember words and phrases just after me teaching you one time.
You sing the ABC song (sort of) by going "A B C.. FG YAYYYYY!" and clap your hands.  Then you'll randomly continue with "Q R S T!  YAYYY!!!".  You sing the first line of Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but you've done that for a while now.  You use adjectives a lot, and you emphasize them, like; "Diplodocus neck is so, so, so, so, long", or "Giraffe is very, very very very tall".
You're sleeping great, eating better than ever.
For Halloween you were a dinosaur.. the cutest dinosaur of all time!  We trick or treated for the first time and you LOVED it.. way more than I thought you would.  I think the novelty of running around 'at night' and going to other people's houses was just so exciting to you.
You're a very very sweet little soul, you're affectionate and loving.. it's just your nature.  Your little being is so pure, honest, and kind.  You inspire me to be a better person every second I spend with you.  I think we could all be more like you, honestly.
You're also still hilarious, and you love it.  You joke, you say things 'wrong' on purpose to be funny.  Just yesterday I also heard you making your hippo 'talk' to you, in a different voice, he said "Hello, Jameson".  You also started saying "How are you Mommy?", and your favorites, "Come HERE Mama", "Come ON Mama", and "MOVE Mama".  When you like something, you'll say "moooooore?" in the sweetest little voice.  Course, you'll also say "no" in the same little bird voice too.  When we were in Florida laying in bed and I'd have the TV on, I'd ask you if you were ready for me to turn the TV off, and you'd say so sweetly "no?".
You have a bunch of teeth now, we're still working on toothbrushing.  I got you a Spinbrush and you LOVED it (it has stickers of things you like all over it), but I think it hit one of your tender gums where a tooth is coming in and now you hate it.  Great!  We'll work on that.
You still love trucks, dinosaurs.. you still like to have something small in each hand (like matchbox cars, little people animals).
We're doing trucks and dinosaurs for your birthday.
You're current favorite 'shows' on TV are Caillou, and Kipper.  You also like Super Why.  And Elmo.
You're still using a pacifier at night and at naps, we'll have to work on that too.

Oh and the best story ever:
You told me that you loved me, unsolicited and spontaneous a few weeks ago.  Best moment of my LIFE so far (other than the day I had you, of course!).  You've been getting a little grumpy when it comes time to rinse the shampoo out of your hair (I have you lay down and pour water over your hair).  I never could figure out what it was, the water on your ears was my best guess.  So I started holding your head with one hand and pouring water with the other,and telling you that I "got you" and that you were safe and it was ok.  Well that particular night, after I rinsed your hair, Oma said to you "See, Mommy held your head, and it was ok, you are safe" and you looked at me so sweet and said "Love you".
I love you too.. more than you'll ever know.

Love, Mommy

21 (and a half) months!

Dear Jameson,

Hello Babydoll!!  You're going on 22 months old, which means you're almost 2!!
I think you think you're 2.  You're very strong minded and stubborn, but also very advanced in terms of your communication, and relationships with people.
You are talking really well.. the other day I counted something like an 11 word sentence and of course I got busy and didn't write it down but I remember you were telling me to go and get kyla, bring her in the house, and to pick up her poopoo all in one sentence!!  You remember new words so well, I often forget that I've told you the name of something in a book or out and about and you'll say it weeks or days later.  You're so smart!
Your favorite toys right now are your cars and trucks, and little animals and people figurines that you can play with in your Little People farm house or new Sesame Street house.  You're using "imaginative play" a lot now (just started!).  I think the first thing you really did was take your Yoda toy and trying to feed him paper and ink cartridges (gum).  So cute!!  We've been asking you (when you crawl) if you're a doggy, and you look at us like we're crazy so I don't think you're there in terms of imagination yet.  You do love to take your little animals and people and play like they're walking around, kissing, etc.
Speaking of kissing, you're such a kisser!  You kiss your toys all the time, characters in books, and even the bears on your wall by your changing table.  You'll spontaneously ask us for kisses, or you'll lean over and kiss my arm, or grab my hand and kiss it.. it's so sweet, and now you'll give hugs (you think a hug is when you lay your head on someone).
You still love being outside, water, and the dogs.  You're a little obsessed with us picking up their 'poopoo'.  We do let you around Sebastian a bit more than we were, he's just so big and you're so little, we worry he'll knock you down.  You do love him so.. and Kyla, but she's been healing from her surgery so maybe now we can start letting you around her more.  She's a little grumpy sometimes though, so we'll see.
You eat better and better, but you're still super picky.  As usual we can always count on mac'ncheese, but you'll eat eggs and sausage, guac, pasta, ice cream, cottage cheese.  You like steak and chicken if they're really small and tender bites, you did eat some tapioca pudding one day.  It's probably our biggest challenge (getting you fed).  We still give you sippy cups with half milk and half pediasure in it to supplement for the vitamins you're probably not getting.  You did actually eat a bunch of really tender broccoli (in cheese sauce) one night a couple weeks ago, so that was promising, and some honeydew.
You had your first time out a couple of weeks ago, for repeatedly climbing on the chair and then on the kitchen table.  We don't say no THAT much, usually only for things like that (dangerous things).
You have had a few new fears pop up, but some of it I think you like how we give you attention if you say you're scared of something.  You've always been scared of balls that have strings or spiky things (like Koosh balls), and now you're scared of spiders, you were scared of Yoda (enough so that you asked me to get him for you because you 'dont like it!'), loud noises (obviously), bugs in general, the dinosaurs in a book of yours, you're scared of bats (you can thank Mommy for that one!), and some of the Halloween stuff that is out now (skeletons and witches and ghosts, but you call them monsters).
You're wearing 24 month and 2T clothes, but the 2T pants are way too long for you.  We get 3T jammies for you because they're nice and big and comfy for you. You wear a size 5 diaper (Pampers BabyDry) during the day and a size 6 (Huggies Overnight) at night.  We thought you were interested in potty training, but it became a game.. you'd ask to sit on the potty, and sit there for a few seconds and then just say "no.".  We'll keep trying here in a few months.
We still go to MyGym (you're in the 22 month-30month class now), which you love.  I recently joined a meetup.com group and we went to one meetup only to find out that one of the kids from MyGym is in the meetup group!  The park we went to is really cool and it's right by the Littleton Historical Museum and Bemis Library, both places I love.
As much as I write, I'm realizing there's no way to capture you this way.  Hopefully though, it will give me some fond memories, and you some laughs when you're old enough to read these entries I make.  I'm terrified of forgetting the little things (like you trying to feed Yoda some paper!).
I have so much fun with you, you crack me up constantly (which is one of your favorite things to do!).  I can't believe I lived so much of my life without you in it.  I'll make yours the best that I can.

Love you my darlin'

Your silly words

Hello darlin'
Just was thinking about all the silly ways that you say your words.  I've written down a bunch of them and put them in your 'memory pig', but figured I'd list a few here.
Lotion = chonin
Ooops = oopth
Jameson = mameyen
Uncle Zuri = Uncle Zewwy
Sebastian = batchen
Daddy = Da-ey
Elephant = ay-fent
Hippo = eeepoh
Tiger = ti-er
Van = when
Bologna = mamoney
Pasta = Pata

I'm sure there are a ton more, and will be when you learn more new words, but really most of your words are pretty clear!!

I'll update this as you think of new funny things to say.

Kisses!

20 Months!

Hi Baby!
Boy it's been a while since I wrote an update.. sorry about that, you sure do keep us busy!
Lets see.. in the past two months you've started really talking up a storm, 3 and 4 word sentences.
You like to pretend you're tlaking on the phone and you make up words and say who you're talking to, and throw in things like "garbage truck".
Garbage trucks are your current obsession, actually trucks of all types but this is the biggest for you.  That and "Big white trucks", I think you say that about 50 times a day!
Of course you still love water, and sometimes cords but I think you're getting over that little obsession.
You're eating better and better, and willing to try new things a lot.  You'll usually eat eggs, sausage, cottage cheese, cheese of course, mac n cheese, guacamole, pasta with parmesan.  You really liked scallops in your Opas Chinese food one night.  You'll usually at least try things where you used to not.
We are still giving you Pediasure mixed with Organic whole milk through the day, usually three 'bottles'.  But, we stopped bottles a couple of weeks ago so all you have now are sippy cups and regular cups which you do fine with.  You use a little fork and spoon and you're SO proud of yourself when you can stab or scoop things (we're pretty proud of it too!).
You're sleeping through the night regularly (thank you!), and go to bed around 9:30, sleep til about 7:30 and have a nap from around 2-4.
We took our first vacation with you last month, we went to Chicago to see Daddy's family.  You got to see your Grandpa (Gee-pa), and Sue your grandma, and lots of other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.  You did amazing on both flights, and you slept with me in the hotel room.  It was the sweetest thing EVER!  You really didn't understand why we were there, and on the first day you kept walking around saying "what?".  You took your naps in the car on the go, you ate ok, and did sleep through the night all three nights, right by my side.
You can run now, and you walk backwards a lot.  You are loving pretending with trucks, and sometimes with animals.
I fall in love with you all over again every single day, you're such a sweet little boy, full of cuddles and kisses.  You mind really well, and your nature is just so very sweet.  You sure do bring a lot of joy to my life, and everyone who is fortunate enough to meet you just adores you.
I'm at work, this is about the only time I have to write to you, so I better go.
I love you with everything I have, you're my favorite person ever.  I don't know how I can thank you enough for being who you are.

A year and a half!

Dear Jameson,

Hello my sweet little boy :)
You are just growing by leaps and bounds, and I'm not even going to try to capture you in a few paragraphs but I'll try to hit some highlights.
I tried to count the words you say the other day, came up with about 60, and then thought of at least 20 more.  I think you learn a new word or two a day!
Yesterday I took some video of you calling Kyla, at first you called her Ky-ka, then La-La, and now you say Kyla!  You call Sebastion "Batch", it's so cute.  You also have started (finally!) calling Daddy by your version of "Daddy" which sound like "Da-ey".
You're eating much better, and sleeping great.
You have 6 teeth now, with a few more coming in.  (finally!).
We started back to your gym class and you love it.  You socialize a little bit with other kids, but mostly do your own thing.
You're still obsessed with water.. like seriously obsessed.  That and electrial cords (great combo! Not!).
With water, you love just having a cup with a little water in the bottom, and you carry it around SO careful so you don't spill it, and set it different places.  If you spill it on accident you cry and get mad and it seriously breaks your heart.  We set up your little baby pool out back on the deck, and you just loved it, a huge cup of water!!
You whistle when you see birds.. it's so cute.  You love it when you find the moon in the sky, stars, and of course airplanes.
You give kisses.
If you see something in your books with it's eyes closed, you tell me it's "nigh nigh".
You actually can point out and either say words or sounds about TONS of pictures in your books!  You make most of the animal sounds I can even think of.
You're an 'indian giver'.. you think it's hilarious to pretend to hand me something and take it away at the last second.  Course, you also think this is funny when we let you give the dogs a treat.. but the dogs don't find it too funny so we're working on that with you.
You and Sebastian are real pals.. he sure does have a lot of patience with you and your indian giving :)
Your 18 month appointment is in a couple of weeks.
You nap once a day now, from about 1-4, and you sleep from about 9p-7a.  It works really well for all of us, so thank you!!
You mind really well.. we are so lucky.  You are just the sweetest, gentle creature.  Course you are also 'all boy' and love making loud noises and roughing around climbing on things, but you'll also snuggle up on the couch and watch a TV show, or read books endlessly, which I just adore.
I still rock you to sleep.. we both love it.  It's just the sweetest time of the day, and I am really trying to cherish every moment, because I know we're on the brink of having to stop that all together.. in time.
The sweetest sound in the universe, is when you say "Mama" to me.. and you KNOW it.. you say it to me all the time, and it's just the most adorable little elf voice, the sweetest music to my ears.
I better go now, I love you so much.
You make this world such a perfect place, and I thank you for it.

Love, Mommy

16 (and a half) months!

Dear Jameson,

Hello my little prince!  I was just thinking yesterday about updating this blog, and decided it is impossible to capture everything, but one thing that might help is if I go through a standard 'day' in the life of you.  So lets try it..

You wake up usually around 7 now, but this really depends on how you slept through the night (or not).  Today, you slept until after 9! But we were up playing from about 3:45 until 6, so you needed more sleep.  So you get up around 7, and then you take a while to wake up.  You like to play in your crib for a good 30 minutes or longer before you want to see us.  You roll around, play with a few stuffed animals we leave in there for you, you stick your arms and legs through the slats in the crib.  I have no idea what you're doing in there, but you seem very happy and just need some time to wake up.  You talk, you sing, and eventually when you're done and ready to get out, you fuss a little and stand up at the edge of the crib looking towards the door.

You're all smiles when I come in to get you.  You do hate getting a diaper change, but you're usually in a great mood and I can distract you with something from your changing table drawer, your toothbrush, booger sucker thing, ear thermometer.. whatever works!  Usually I dress you for the day, or at least for the morning until you get messy.  You wear all 18 month size clothes now.  You hate getting dressed, but you help out a little, lifting your legs for your pants, and socks/shoes, putting your arms in your sleeves.  You can say socks and shoes!  You can say a LOT of words.  I was trying to keep track at first, but it's too hard now, you're so smart and you say tons of words!  Your newest words are dark, and banana (ba), and you say Kyla's name really cute, "KyKa".

Usually after I get you all dressed and ready for the day, we say good morning to your friends in your room and on your walls, and then I take you out to say good morning to the house, and the dogs (and Daddy if he's home!).  You play for a while, talking to the dogs, watching a little TV, Franklin is usually on or Olivia.  We give breakfast a try, you're eating a LOT better now.  Your current faves are mac n cheese, cheese, chili, hot dogs, cottage cheese (you try to say those words too), and garlic bread.  You did eat a few bites of my Lucky Charms the other day too!  We're done with your OT now, you're eating great.. not perfect, but great.

Sometime during the morning I do try to get some milk/Pediasure into you.  You're taking just one nap now, so we feed you a bottle sometimes as you're watching TV, or through the morning as we're busy doing other things.

Your imagination is really growing.  You've pretended with stuffed animals for a while, and now cars.  You love putting things IN things and taking them back out.  You love this duck whistle on a yellow string that your Opa got you, you carry that everywhere.  You love to play with non-toys, like kitchen stuff (or anything else you can pull out of drawers and cabinets).  You like to take lotions and other bottles out of the bathroom cabinets and set them all over the place.. I have no idea why you do that but it's really interesting to you!  You also like to take things in to these 2 plants we have, and put them in the dirt of the plant.  You've knocked over one of them a few times, but it seems ok.  You still LOVE the outdoors.  We hunt for airplanes together, and you like to play in the rocks, and explore the bushes and pull off leaves and flowers.  I got your a water table that you really like.. I think you could live in water, but I'll save that story for later.  You love to be chased, and you love to turn it around and chase us.  You love to be startled.  You try all the time to make us laugh by making funny faces or sounds, you think it's hilarious when you burp or fart (typical boy!), and you spit out your pacifier (or food) really hard to try to get a laugh out of us.  You actually just started whistling!  It's so cute.

I've been trying to keep you up until around 1pm, that way you'll just take one nap, and that nap is usually a couple hours long.  We have lunch before your nap, usually it's your best meal of the day!  Then I'll usually give you a bottle with milk/pediasure in it when I lay you down for your nap.  I still rock you to sleep, every nap and at bedtime.  I should have taught you by now to put yourself to sleep, but I love rocking you, you love it, and it works for us.  We'll have a discussion if I'm still doing it when you're around 5 years old :)  You eat your bottle, and I hum or sing you to sleep.  I have always sang the same few songs to you, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and recently added Close to You by a group called The Carpenters.  For some odd reason, I can be humming to you and you wont go to sleep, but if I start singing instead your eyes will roll back and you'll go sound asleep, it's really strange!

While you nap, I try to get things done around the house.. clean up dishes or mop the floor, or take a few minutes to myself to read or watch some TV.  Usually you wake up happy and playing, and I come and get you out of your crib.  The other night you were trying to swing one of your legs over the edge of the crib, needless to say, we lowered it last night.

Usually after your nap, we'll go somewhere.  The mall, the park, or errands I need to run.  I'm joining a Mommy group, and they will have a bunch of activities through the week that we could join in and you could play with other kids.  You love other kids!  You tolerate errands ok, but honestly you really don't like it.  You hate riding in the car, and usually get fed up with being in the cart at the grocery store pretty quickly.  As happy go lucky as you can be, you can also be pretty inpatient and stubborn, and you let us know pretty clearly when you're not happy!

Our evening routine varies, depending on if your Oma and Opa are there for dinner (they are over often, you love them so much! and they are so helpfult o me), or if Daddy is home for dinner, or if it's just you and I.  You usually don't like going out much, you really hate being confined anywhere, the car seat, the high chair, but the other night we went to Red Robin, and not only did you sit in your high chair fine, but you ATE a huge serving of mac n cheese from the Kids menu, which was a first for us, so it was very exciting.  I just love that you eat better.. and eventually I'll have to switch it up on you and sneak in some veggies and fruits.  We have dinner together, you usually eat ok at home, and then after dinner it's more play time, and then bath time.

You LOVE your bath (which you call "bapf" by the way).  You'll run through the house saying BAPF!!!!!! really loud.  You really don't care much about your regular bath toys, your current favorite thing to do is to have cups filled with bubbles or bath water, and a washcloth to place in and out of them.. over and over and over again.  You also like to play with bottles of shampoo or whatever toiletries are sitting around the edges of the tub.  You let us know when you're done by wanting to pull the plug on the water and telling the water bye bye, and you stand up and we dry you off.  After that, I do what Oma started doing (because you HATE getting lotioned/changed/dressed after your bath), which is putting you naked in your crib and 'chasing' you around your crib with lotioned hands.  Eventually I get you all lotioned up, you have so much fun just rolling around or standing up and falling down, it's hilarious!

You go to bed around 8:30, we start that whole routine by saying goodnight to the moon outside, and then goodnight to the dogs, the house, and your friends in your room.  Then I feed you a bottle, sing to you, sometimes read a book, and rock you to sleep.  Sometimes you're not quite ready to drift off, so we play little games with each other.  Things like peek a boo, or you put your pacifier in my mouth and want me to 'blow' it out, or you point to my eyes, nose, mouth and I ask you to point to yours.  Sometimes you try to trick me into thinking that you're not tired by almost falling asleep and then suddenly taking your pacifier out of your mouth and saying "HI!!" and giving me that to-die-for smile of yours.  I have to laugh a little, but remind you that it's time to go night night, and off you go to sleep.

Well that's a typical day in the life of you.  I don't think I even captured all of your magic, but that's impossible.

I love you so much, I'm so lucky to be your mommy (or mamama as you say).

Love, Mommy

15 months!

Good morning, my love!

Actually, you're still sleeping.. thank goodness.  You're sleeping better now than you were the past month.  You've had a cold, your 15 month shots (MMR, Varicella, DTap), and you've been working on your top two teeth for over a month now, which has all added up to some very sleepless and restless nights for all of us.  Yesterday you slept til 8:30!  The day before, 9:30!  It's 7 now and you're snoring away.  Figured I'd take a minute (I don't have many to spare!) to write to you about what you're doing now.

You're still going to an Occupational Therapist for feeding therapy, but at this point she's sort of at a 'loss'.  You have the mechanics down.. you can swallow, chew, feed yourself fine, but you just don't WANT to, which isn't something we can 'fix', unfortunately.  So like everything else, we just keep trying and waiting.  You've been able to stab a few things with a fork, and it makes you SO proud (probably because I freak out and cheer for you), and then you look at what you stabbed on your fork, say something to it in Jameson language, and eat it.  So funny!  You really like this chicken smoked sausage we get, macaroni and cheese, and of course, your beloved american cheese.  You will sometimes eat other things like chicken nuggets, cottage cheese, and banana pieces but that's not as often as the other favorites you have.

You are talking a TON.  I started a list of your words and animal sounds and it seriously grows every week!  Off the top of my head some of your words are 'da', 'mama', clock, light, brush, pretty (new), bath (baph), ball (ba), bye bye, fish, dog/doggie, moon, balloon, hot, cheese, Papa, truck/tractor.  Sometimes you make up your own words and it's hard to figure them out, the last one you said for EVERYthing sounded like "otch", I have no idea what that was, but now you don't say it any more.  Now you say something a lot that sounds like "GOO! GOO!", not sure about that one either.  You make tons of animal sounds too, but for some reason you've stopped doing them on demand.. (independent much?).  You will also point to your ears, eye, nose, mouth and feet, and sometimes tummy.

You give lots of kisses now.. with your mouth open lol.  It's so sweet though.  You cuddle and love to wrestle and get tickles.

You're of course walking pretty perfect, and FAST!  You climb a little on things you used to not, so we watch you pretty closely.  You do a good job now getting down off of things you climb up on, like the cubby in our family room, or the treadmill downstairs.  You do well climbing up the slide and going down, but you still like to stand up on the platform so we are still teaching you to sit down and get down from there too.
You're becoming more and more obsessed with your pacifiers.  You aren't happy unless you have two, one in your hand, one in your mouth.  that is going to be a fight I don't look forward to having later on.

I still rock you to sleep..that's another thing that will likely bite me in the end, but it's such a wonderful time for both of us (mostly me, probably).. just rocking you, and looking at you as you doze off, singing songs to you. The songs I always sing to you are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and Close to You (Carpenters).  Sometimes I just hum to you and make up songs, but I swear you know when I'm humming versus singing and it doesn't help get you to sleep as much.. I'll be humming and then start singing instead and all the sudden your eyes close and you go to sleep lol.. i'm not sure why that is.
You are socially just the sweetest thing, you LOVE people (most people).

You are still and outdoorsy guy, you could play outside all day I think.  Your newest things to do outside are to look for the moon and point it out if it's in the sky, and to look for airplanes.  You have such good vision, you always see them before I do.  You love to play in the rocks out front, and now that you've discovered that the dogs are behind our gate in the backyard, you love to go up to the gap in the gate and feed them rocks.  And they always take them from you.. I hope they don't really eat them!!

Ok I better go get ready for you to be up!

I love you so much, more than I'll ever be able to tell you.  I'll show you though, I promise that!
Like I've said before, you make me a better person, and you make my life so rich, and full of love, laughter and happiness.

Namaste my darling!!  (I've explained to you what that means, but you'll probably not really understand it for a long time, but I still say it to you every night when I tell you goodnight, that I love you, that I'll protect you and keep you safe as much as I can, then namaste, and sweet dreams).

Love, Mommy

14 months (almost)

Dear Jameson,

Hello my darling!!
In a few days you will be 14 months old.  CRAZY!  Can't believe it (as usual.).
You are obviously walking tons, getting faster and faster every day.
You're talking a lot.. you have your own language, and you say a few words, and you also make tons of animal sounds.
Words you say:
hi
light
cheese
dog/doggy
mama
dada
fish
Sounds you make:
snake
cow
sheep (I think..)
horse
elephant
duck
bird
dog

You did finally have your feeding assessment.  I'm not really sure about what they thought was wrong, but the good thing is, we were referred for OT (Occupational Therapy), where we'll meet with a really nice lady once a week, and she can teach me, how to teach you.. to eat!  You do still eat cheese by the handful, bologna, sometimes blueberries, oranges.  You drink your bottle really well, but by this time we should be thinking of weaning you off a bottle.  Boy will that be hard!  (they also told us we need to start weaning you from your pacifier.. oh no!).  The other good thing is they don't think there's anything 'wrong' developmentally with the rest of you.. just that you may not know how to eat yet, and your mouth is a little underdeveloped.  You're so on track otherwise, and even advanced in some areas.  (of course!).

We do still take you to the gym, you do like it too.. but you're the oldest in the class now, and the class for your new age group is during a bad time for you (nap time!).  We'll see what to do about that.

You still take 2 naps a day, usually one around 10, and another around 3 or 4.  Course if you nap late, you go to bed late, usually around 9.  Then you *usually* sleep all the way through until 6 or 7!  I would say 9 times out of 10.. or maybe 8 out of 10 times, you sleep all night.

You just got over your second cold.. boy was that awful for you!  You couldn't breathe because of all the sinus gunk you had, and you're too little to know how to blow your nose or anything to clear your head.  I tried to use a booger sucker on you and holy cow that made you mad and made you cry :(  I hate that you can't understand things like that, for all you knew, I was just being really mean!  I think you've forgiven me though now.

You are SO sweet.  You give your version of hugs, and you like to try to lick my nose.  You still play with my nose, mouth and eyelashes when I rock you, and now you like to twirl your fingers in my hair.  You walk up and hug our legs if we're standing, and you come up if I"m sitting down and actually place my hands under your arms so that I'll pick you up.  Of course you also know how to just walk up to us and raise your arms so we'll grab you, which we're always happy to do!

We took you to the stock show a couple of weeks ago, and the Aquarium this past weekend.  You absolutely loved the Aquarium.. not sure about the Stock Show, but it was so busy and you weren't really able to just enjoy what was going on.  We're hoping to take you to the Butterly Pavillion and the Zoo soon.

Well my love, I better get back to work, I don't have much time to write these letters to you, you sure do keep me busy!

I love you more than anything else, my little prince.

Love, Mommy
